The gas gauge gives a false reading and is unreliable. It has been diagnosed by nissan as a defect with the fuel level sensor. This is the exact same problem that occurs with the nissan pathfinders. The frontier is a pathfinder with a truck body. Yet nissan has only recalled the pathfinders. The recall needs to be extended to cover the frontiers as well. *tr

After filling gas tank: the fuel gauge immediately registered "empty" and continued reading same. Current to date, no changes in reading. Its' consequences are on-going that a serious incident could occur on the highway by running out of fuel, loosing control of the vehicle.
